Duration: The part-time course runs for a one-year period on either a one-day or two evenings per week basis.

Course structure (Modes of attendance): Part-time day: One full-day per week, Part-time evening: Two evenings per week, Full-time: 3 full days a week

Entry requirements: The Admissions Tutor will be looking for those who are over 21 years of age, and: Experience (present or forthcoming) in a managerial post, BTEC National Certificate (or equivalent), Support and co-operation of employer.

Course Content: This is an integrated, practically based course; using case studies, group work, lectures, etc. The main elements of the course are: Managing Operations, Managing Finance and Information, Managing Human Resources, Personal Development, Residential and a residential weekend (a compulsory element of the part-time course). It aims to integrate further various aspects of the course.

Assessment: Assessment includes practical assignments, integrated assignments, projects, etc.

Progression: Successful completion of the Certificate/Diploma fulfils the academic entry requirements to the Level 4/5 Diploma in Management.

Start Dates: April, July, September and January of each year.

Duration: 6 to 9 months.
